Default Cosworth ALS throttles and ISCV..

i should know as i have read about this countless times before but i just cant think today

witht he cossy TB, you need open up the 2 small hoses into one big one to flow the air.

but can this be doen and still use the std ISCV?

i know Gareth made a valve the other week, but is it really necessary?

what makes the valves different?

i want to run aggressive ALS on the 3dr so just looking at options at the mo.

cheers

Your standard valve can be modified (we offer this ) and for mild ALS, you don't need to open up the holes on the TB either.

theres loads of ways of doing it

you can file/machine the slots in the iscv bigger to get a mild system,,,

or you can go full bore,, and machine the two holes into one and use a mountune valve for an agressive system

By the way, my modded valve is the EXACT same ones that Gareth Lloyd uses on his race car and they are more reliable (in not being prone to sticking open / shut) than the Mountune ones. The only proviso is that the ISCV supplied MUST be in perfect working condition.

ive never ever had a proper mountune one stick, seen plenty of imitations that are much poorer quality but a proper mountune one has never ever stuck with me on over 80 rallies,

even a trained chimp can take apart a ALS valve and see any potential places that need modding to stop it sticking.

deffo reccomend 30mins with a file to make sure its all perfecto

Thats nothing to do with a sticking valve. Thats your P8 ecu opening (priming) it when you switch the ignition on. You needed to modify the wiring to disconnect the valve unless the ALS is on.

how do you mod the wiring
put a switch or relay in series with the ls valve wiring

but if i was doing it,, i would put a timer into the circuit so i was automatic
