Default Clifford Concept 600 Question 1

I have a Clifford concept 600 alarm, last night it went off, it run my car battery flat and carried on going and going and going.

As my car battery was dead the key fob and secret valet button didnt work, so i disconnected the battery and it stopped.

Good i thought...

But i was sure that clifford alarms should still work if a thief disconnected the battery??

ANY IDEAS????

I thought the 600's came with a battery backed up siren so even if the battery was disconnected it would still go off?

This however causes its own problems if for example the siren goes off with the battery dead so no controls responding (keyfob, valet etc etc) at 4 in the morning... in a nice quiet cul-de-sac... for about 30minutes... with all the neighbours at their windows... and me in my boxer shorts trying to shut the bl00dy thing up!!!!!

Kev is spot on there! The 600 sucks power from the battery and has it's own back-up power source in the alarm box. So if battery was to be disconnected (As if the car was being nicked) it would have power to go off....

Not sure on how long it would last though, cause without power in the battery you can't shut the fookin thing up!
