want to have a go atretrimming my roof lining on the sierra

ive found some alcantara stuff with 4mm foam backing on

would this be ok?

how hard would it be to do the job

is it a case of just stripping the old lining off and all the old foam and then gleing the new fabric on

what about the sunroof panel

how hard are these to get out, complete sunroof job out?

as these are like flocked kind of material, so just thining about thickness and will it slide again lol

or would it be easier to just get a fabric paint and paint it

I retrimed the one in my saph the same colour as original so I didn't have to mess around with the sunroof, you need to reomve the entire sunroof to get the panel out and it is a complete pain and can be tricky to get back in and working correctly.

You'll need to remove all the old foam (this does make a lot of mess) its just then a matter of gluing the new fabric but this can also be tricky to get right due to all the contours.

been trying to find the original colour cloth but just carnt find it

seen this stuf on ebay and it would work out i need 25 quids worth to do my roof lining

plus it should be better than the cloth, in cleaning and looks wise i rekon

ill give it ago anyhow
