Got 3 days until I'm off to the RFA Dilligence in Portsmouth. Apprently the ship isn't actually going anywhere so it's 4 months down there tied up.



So, where's the best pubs in portsmouth where a poor helpless scotsman like me can go for a pint or 34 without getting beaten up by jealous englishmen upset by our prowess on the football pitch

Last time I was on the old 'Dill' was in 2003, tied up in the middle of the NAG for some running repairs. Had a few good piss ups with the RFA guys.

Some good pubs in Pompey, just head for the Guild Hall, one street full of pubs down there

Plenty of pubs, and you'll be alright coming from paisley. There all soft as shit down here. (i lived here for 10 years before moving to glasgow so i think im qualified to comment!! ).

And you can smoke in pubs as well.

You could have won 10 world cups but we still invented the game, brought the game to the world and have the oldest league and (FA) cup competition in the world. Oh well at least you still get a say in the rules along with members of the only other British FA's and 4 from FIFA and no other countries, that form the IFAB. And the oldest FA hence just FA.

best bet for cheap beer in pompey is a off licence then pull up a seat next to some local tramps

any of the back street pubs are cheap in and around portsea

stay away from gunwarf/guildhall/seafront clubs if u want a cheap nite out

gosport is full of inbreds

if u want a cheap drink and a fight head to havant/leigh park/paulsgrove just dont fall asleep on a park bench as ur be set on fire (im not jokin has happend before!!!!)

spent most of my drinkin life in pompey and leigh park and never had any trouble
