always hurts when you put alot of time and effort into a car , to see someone else driving it...
i remember when i sold my first cossie ,seeing the guy drive off and hearing it dumping as i went into the distance was the worst feeling ever..... the money was nothing compared to the love i had for that car ,but i had to sell it to start my own business......

i was gutted years ago about a pukka 3litre a capri i sold with all the bits from the 280 on.....lsd,RS 7's,leather etc. Saw it for sale a year or so later and thought id go and buy it back for a second car and when i viewed it i nearly cried. The guy had abused it from day one and it looked like a total piece of shit. Dents, scuffs, ripped leather, kerbed wheels etc.
Cant believe how some ppl have no respect for their cars

See, thats just why I cant/wont sell mine
First car too so it means that bit extra, I know in YEARS to come if I sold it i'd regret it just like all these older guys that have sold their mk2 RS 2000's etc and regret it
Stunning car stu, I can see why you'd be sad!

Amazing car, looks cool. To me it's the equiv of my S2. Very fast, looks amazing (better than any BM imo - purely for rarity value) reliable and cheap to run.
If i was in market, would have ripped it off your hands. In 3 years, will prob be worth more than the BM :O

well ive had a few since but they were run abouts or strippers/fixer uppers, nothing special like my rs.
wes, you must remember my first xr2, loved it

When I sold my cosworth, I was gutted watching it go down the road.
Then I saw the stripped shell for sale on Drainbay and was even more gutted...... Still had the tinted plates on too, however learning that the black saph on track at national day had my engine is was noce considering it was one of the quickest cars on the day...

I have had my XR2i 16v now for 5 years.
May be replacing it shortly, but the only place the 2i is going (and not because it needs to go there) is the scrap yard. Rather that, than see the next owner abuse and wreck it like the last one I sold, which still haunts me to this day......

Had our old XR2i written off a few years back. We thought it would be scrapped and that would be it. Steve_B PM'd me as it had been repaired and was on E-Bay. Shame the seller wan't honest about the damage to it. Local lad purchased it and ruined it and it dissappeared.
Low and behold the other night I was with the missus and what came the opposite way? Our old Fiesta looking really nice and tidy. Was a bit gutted to be honest as that car was superb fun

I had a restored XR4i, bills for about £4k. All new Ford parts.
Almost cried when i sold it
I see it a few months later looking very sad and unloved and a bit later a mate see it after it had been rolled
It was the only car i should of kept
Steve.
