Another theft from Dono
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...67#post3674967
It's one of the saddest days of my life. 10:30am parked the car at Donnington Paddock Car Park, watched the Motor Racing, returned at 4:15pm to find the car gone.
Would everyone please keep eyes and ears peeled for anyone selling a P1 or P1 bits too cheap. (also Ebay & 'other' bbs')
The officials at Donnington suspect it may have been taken to the Birmingham area, but it could be anywhere and if broken up, everywhere really.
Reg is B3 SCF - P1 Plate number is 0377 (under bonnet nearside pillar)
Miniscoop over blitz Induction on offside
18" Gold Prodrive Alloys
blue lightened pulleys'
White 'Prodrove' sticker over plates front and rear.
Adjustable fuel pressure reg

Sad, sad day.
This is probably the end of Scoobydom for us.

Brasso, they just need shooting straight in the head mate, there probably so fookin into stealing if you chopped their hands off they'd organise so somebody else could do it for em!
I think precautions like a 'Snap-Off' steering wheel is gonna become a worthwhile investment, even if they break into the car at least they can't drive it anywhere........better the car get just damaged than go completely missing!

Gutted for the Scooby owner
I'm at a point where if my car isn't on stand or can't be driven to a show and home again the same day it won't go. Like many people I have skinted myself to build the car I want and cannot afford for some pikey thieving inbred shit bag to take it all away for free. I know if my car was stolen it would put me out of the RS scene permanently.

Sticker Paul,
something needs to be done before someone else's pride & joy goes missing

but it wont , and you know it wont , they will tell you its been improved for security etc etc , its obv not just the rsoc that this happens to, but it is a case of the problem at donington is rife , but its just so easy , hense why a lot of clubs use it because of its cheapness compared to others , oh and it is one of only a handful of venues large enough to hold a massive show

You see an event like this is prime territory. They know the cars going to be un-attended for several hours. and how many people actually look or do something when they hear a car alram going off?

Ask me a question!

If these thefts keep happening? why dont a firm of peeps get together and keep a lookout for themselfs on the sly at the next big event cos i think if you did catch the people involved it could lead back to alot of peoples belongings. If the event cant be watched by the police or they dont have the time to etc.. i think this should be done. I would give up a few of my days to find out.

seriously - makes me sick everytime i read about car thefts! i sometimes wonder whats the point - investing time/money/effort just for some scumbag to take it away for free!

the P1 is a very good car with good security on.
How can these just go,unseen,unheard.
It is really pointless have alarms on our cars if they can just take them so easy.
More of a physical type of systems needs to be fitted...Disclock, gearbox lock etc....
Dave.
