If thats the end price then thats what someone is willing to pay, its not a high street shop selling them at a fixed price, I was on about woolies/argos/currys etc etc, we will still be charged over the odds, probably about £450 for the top one

also where will they get games and at what cost as it will only play region 1 games and we are region 2, so when it FINALLY comes out here you still wont be able to play european games on it

Thats madness,i heard that the ones comming from certain countrys wont play english games,they did it to try and stop people selling them on for megga bucks

It's the same with any new console though....wait a few months and the price will drop, just like the PS2...I'll be getting one on release day here (If I can) and expect to pay £450 - £500+ for the privalige...as others have said on other threads, that's a good price for a blu ray player alone!

Sometimes though price doesn't make a difference on the games market, just look at the dreamcast, amazing console, first to be online, free online game posted to you if you registered, memory cards and pads with display that still outdate todays consoles, 128bit and top games like virtua tennis, MSR and dead or alive. Not too mention the best Resident Evil version.
They sold it cheap and still lost out. What people want they will get. £100 or so difference won't matter,. Lets wait for Gran turismo etc etc....
