now am i right in thinking RS500's were 3drs speced up by TCKFORD???
If yes am i right in thinking TICKFORD is Australian???
If this is all accurate does Tickford have a base in England or close to England where they were sent of to become RS500's or did they go to Australia??
if this is not accurate please enlighten me cause i wa having a lilttle discussion with some one and they reckon rs500 have nothing to do with tickford let alone go to aussi.

dont know if this will upset a few but
i had a vehicle converted by TICKFORD in the midlands U.K
needed some info on it so gave them a buzz
and to my dismay the switchboard operator said
"hello PRODRIVE ENGINEERING"
iirc they do the same sort of thing nowadays for all sorts of car firms
but are well known for Subaru, and Prodrive bought them out

Tickford were a British company, later owned by Aston Martin and subsequently sold. They were basically, a coachbuilding, engineering and specialist vehicles company.
As said, with the Ford projects (Capri, road RS200, RS500, Racing Puma) the vehicles were built by Ford and then converted by Tickford.
They also did projects such as the MG Maestro Turbo and lots more.

RE: Australia....
Tickford Vehicle Engineering Pty Ltd (TVE) was set up in Australia in 1991 to be the high performance car division of Ford Australia. TVE is best known for engineering the Ford Falcon XR6 and XR8 models, and they also released a range of higher performance "T-Series" performance cars based on the Falcon in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2001 TVE was acquired by Prodrive, the British motor sport company, and in 2002 was rebranded Ford Performance Vehicles
