Default Renault 5 turbo owners: RTOC?

Joined the elite ring of renault 5 turbo owners after buying one cheap off a mate that needed money. Always liked them but said id only ever get one in silver - a pretty rare colour - and luckily this one is.

ITs 100% standard other than a chav attakced interior thats had the dash and door cards sprayed white

And the rear seats are out and been replaced with sub boxes

Question though, is it worth signing up to the RTOC? Or not really?

Pics soon to follow

2 turbo hatches - what am i thinking

I joined to find my sons 1st car and i did buy one from there. The fourm is not user friendly at all and does my head in The search is crap, you cannot read members posts Ie on here you can view all my posts ( i find this usefull when buying something of a member)

You cannot put photos on you post and most of the members are quite young and like there dump valves and boots

I don't think i will re join

Hope this helps

I hardly see any 5 turbos on the road now. Used to see quite a few of them. Are they becoming a rarity theses days? fun, little boxes on wheels i always thought

Would have one tomorrow if I could get away with it

Look after it right and don't fudge it and it should be fine. These cars are getting rare now 80's classic turbo'd hatch

Thanks guys, yeh the more i looked into it the more ive seen the reliability is not an issue if treated correctly - as with with most cars really. I want to run virtually standard power anyway just make it look mint.

As stated they are becoming rare cars these days
Especially in silver

Need to buy the original GT Turbo graphics i think

a new car to learn to work on and find our way round it

i will be suprised if the r5 dont need a new engine as they are known for not being good. when ur rs is on engine number 5 aint it?

ur mum and dad r gonna have to sell their cars soon to make room for urs. espicialy when ur others get off emmas drive and robs garage.

good luck with it though mate, will be good to have one and get it out ur system

in my time iv had 7 renault 5 turbos, for so much litte money the cars can go like fook, the amount of tunning parts that are out ther and still are being developed is just rediculuss, many ppl that have them say ther the best cars they ever had, people on say ther crap and blow up all the time becuase they dont know anyhting about them or even how to treat and care for a car never mine a 5 properly, usualy ppl who just pass ther test and jump from a corsa shitbox into one, even if u blow the hg if u know wot ur doing and get a friend to help and ur fast it would take u less then 45 mins to do
