go to india
sorted
i went there with Ł2k, came back with Ł500 spare
ok, so the tickets were Ł500 a pop return
there was no acomodation fee as we stayed with family
and most of the cost (about a grand) was covered by the father in law
but we had a big party, fully catered, 200 peole turned up and a hall and a gurdwara to do the ceremony and stuff too
and this was as well as the court marriage on top of that
but she did have to pay somethng like Rs20k to get her visa to come and stay over here but that stil only about Ł250
if you cut out all the lavish stuff you can go there and come back in Ł2k

I got married in Grenada last year through: http://www.justgrenada.co.uk/
For the first week we stayed @ True Blue Bay and got married there. It was all sorted through Just Grenada but the planner Lucille has her own site: http://www.grenadawedding.com/locations.htm Some of the pics/places on the site look familiar.
Then for the second week we buggered off to our own villa and had a honeymoon by ourselves, leaving the family etc behind. We stayed @ Nutmeg Bay Villa on this page: http://www.justgrenada.co.uk/villas.htm
All in with first class flights etc I think it was under 5k. Sounds a lot of money for a holiday but compare it to the average cost of a wedding in blighty and it makes ALOT of sense.

We got married in Paphos / Cyprus last October. Cost about Ł4.5k all in, suits, dress, reception, 2 weeks at a swanky hotel, the wedding at the hotel, etc etc.
Weathers still spot on in early October, but not so hot that you're melting like you would be in peak summer. Absolutely top day and going for a drive around the town in a Roller honking the horns in a big convoy with all the people waving and cheering was truelly great.

I got married in Barbados back in 1998, cost about 4k ,we went on our own & did'nt take any family We got married in the gardens of the Almond Beach resort & had pic's taken on the beach. It was fantastic i would advise anyone to do it in Barbados, its a cool place Remember them playing the steel drums at the wedding was well cool & yes i'm still happily married

I read an article that said they were tring to make it legal. I went in to a travel agents not that long ago to ask if you could now but they never got back to me so it might be worth an ask.
We are hoping to go to Maldives in March, we will be your witness if you like
