I am trying to connect my XBOX live and when i test the connection i get this..

"Your console was unable to negotiate a lease with your DHCP server"

What the fook is that and how do i sort it

try doing it this way Mark,

unplug the modem from the power

plug the ethernet lead into the 360 and the modem

turn 360 on

put power lead back in modem

wait 2 mins for the modem to set itself up

try xbox live

it's how i do it on my ntl modem

That will do it. Your internet connection has assigned an IP to your PC and needs resetting to assign one to the Xbox instead. This is done by following the steps above and powering off the modem

I had loads of bother with mine, I still have to run it through my pc. Any trouble you have, Email the Xbox Live team and they will sort you out.

get a router it does it all for yer...well mine did anyway, didnt have to change anything
