XP problem, Help!
Evening guys,
Was wondering if anyone could help with this little problem I have on a laptop.
Essentially someone turned it off, whilst it was installing windows updates (during shutdown - the one that says, iinstalling windows updates, donot switch your pc off
).
Anyway, now, it doesnt boot, get the XP splash screen come up, it'll stay loading for a few seconds then the machine just reboots.
If I hold F8 and select start in safemode during boot, safemode does the same.
Is there anyway I can use a bootable cd to run a system restore? I don't want to format it with XP again as it'll lose a load of work, and will probably screw up the warrenty (its only a few weeks old!)
Cheers
