Default Help Please – 2wd Crank Pulley.

Hoping someone with easy access to a 2wd crank pulley can help, I am after the following info :

• Looking from the front of the pulley how wide are the timing lugs ? (look to be about 3mm)

• Looking on the top of the pulley with the timing groove on the right, how far to the left is the first timing lug ? (looks about 15mm – centre of groove to centre of lug)

I am asking because I have some mods to do to the pulley (so saying just buy a new one wont help ) and after the first go at machining it I have found that some of the timing lugs have been built up with weld and I am not sure they have been put back in the right size and place

Also with the pulley on the crank should TDC pointer be on the right hand edge of the nearest lug to the timing groove ? If so is it correct that the crank key way isn’t quite vertical ?

And finally is the groove to lug angle 16° ?

Cheers,

WD

Looking from the front of the pulley how wide are the timing lugs ? (look to be about 3mm)

4.15mm give or take

Looking on the top of the pulley with the timing groove on the right, how far to the left is the first timing lug ? (looks about 15mm – centre of groove to centre of lug)

15mm is about right, centre to centre

Also with the pulley on the crank should TDC pointer be on the right hand edge of the nearest lug to the timing groove ?

at TDC, the pointer should point to the rear of the lug (crank rotates clockwise)

Thank you

Looks like the first lug is correct but a bit skinny, at least I have a referance to start from.
