Default One for the MPG watchers

I know you don't buy a Cossie for good fuel consumption, but after having an MSD chip fitted a few weeks back, I'm now seeing 360 miles out of a tank of fuel in the Saph.

This works out to around 30 mpg average, which I reckon is pretty bloody excellent for a YB.

Then my TDCi-owning mate who does a similar commute pointed out that he gets twice that, and so spends £120 a month less on fuel than me.

Who gives a fuck - it's a shonky diseasel . His car can't top 150mph or live with small bikes, or put a grin on your face like your Sapphire can .

Mike, true BUT that sad part is the utterly shagged Mondeo TDCi Estate we use at work still holds the record for the fastest time door-to-door from work to home.

I can't get near it in the Saph!

fuck me that mondeo is leathal!!

i remeber when we picked the saph up, i was following in the mondeo and it started revving the tits off it, i was in 4th so though bollocks, the clutch has gone

but nope, it was infact wheel spinning in the mild damp

they not nangkang tyres on it, they much worse - proppa ditch finders, so nearly stacked that thing many a time

still, it got me home from brighton in exactly 1.5 hours. not bad for a 150 mile trip (was 1.30 am tho lol )
