heres the deal, i have a gas cooker that i want rid of, i've pulled the bastard out hoping to just uplug it from the gas mains or something but it don't look that straight forward

I have a thick flexible pipe from the back of the cooker which is somehow joined into the copper pipe on the wall.

now, does anyone know how this will come off? do i need to turn and twist it or what? will it be a push fitting or screw fitting? if so once disconnected is there a valve inside that will close or will it piss out gas and need to be blanked off?

It should have a shut off valve on the end of the copper pipe, you should just be able to unclip the rubber hose off.

push and twist to the left mate and yes it will seal itself

it is illegal for ne 1 who isnt corgi to touch it chap,so if anything happens,on ur head be it!!
im sure there like air line fittings,mix water with washing up liquid and spray it on,to check for leaks!
