On my 97 uk turbo. The car hesitates like hell from bout 3-5k rpm then goes like hell, tried unplugging the maf and it cuts out straight away. the car is not on the road yet and hasent been driven yet only on a bit of private land but was ok the other week so it is a new problem.


Could this be my problem this pipe is missing and i have no idea where it goes. also the recirculating pipe that goes from the intercooler has been blocked of at both ends guessing it had a DV there b4 could this cause the problem??



And yes i have tried on scoobynet but thought id try here as well since theres a lot of car smart people here

That is almost certainly the problem. Get it blanked off then go try it.

if i block it off it causes the idle to go up and down a lot but if i leave it as it is the idle is still a bit lumpy but not as bad.

Ive solved the hesitation by removing the induction kit it know pulss like hell again just need to get a standard box again.
