a set of 4x4 (front) Cossie calipers?
Need to get hold of a pair in good working order, dust seals and bleed nipples all in good order, but don't want to be paying over the odds for em jsut cos they bear the COSWORTH tag.....![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
any idea's? Also input from RS breaker folk on here would be good

i seen 2wd brakes go for circa 100
woulda thought the 4x4 ones went cheaper!
matt if you wanna use spacers + S2 calipers, i havea set of S2 calipers in my shed i dont want nothing for... but they been in there a while n will probably want a quick service

Pikie - gotta be 4x4 ones I think as I'm sure the 2WD 4-pots need machining down to fit and thats what I wanna avoid - same reason I don't wanna go S2 caliper route as you need brackets, etc, which are £40 plus the cost of a pair of S2 calipers thought maybe 4x4 Cos items would be cheaper, or at least break even.....
Spadgeroo - what condition these in and you open to negotiation per chance my good man?

Hold that thought then Jim as I *might* take you up on it, but still want to explore this 4x4 caliper thing first....
Reason being I am led to belive that 4x4 calipers jsut simply bolt straight up with 2WD discs, as shown here;
4x4 caliper fitting guide
So I would be interested in that more than having a multitude of washers, spacers, and brackets...

If you can find one in the scrappy, 2,5 mondeo calipers are the same. I got a set on my car and they fi tthe 283mm 2wd disks a treat.
Being Mondeo they don't need 'cossie tax'

Jim- yeah check please mate ![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
Spadge - fair do's fella - been offered a pair for £90 now, so unless I get a cheaper lead on the Mondy or Granny calipers then I'd be best off going to the £90 bloke....
But! I shall bear you in mind since I think I know a mate who may also be after a set - so not all hope lost there Spadgeroo

thrush remember penny wise, pound stupid, spadge looks after his stuff, it worked ect and off his car
ya dont know when ya buy em off another person for 10 quid cheeper
i know what i would do tbh
but then i wouldnt be mnessing about with the 4x4 caliper route as the s2 and brackets actually work better
infact tbh ya could have standard erst brakes and decent disks
the cheep option aint always as cheep as ya think
may have some brembos going for sale though, big disc's ect, not 90 quid though as i gotta cover me costs

So long as they are the same thing I don't give a fook what name they are sold under ![Pthbbbb](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile045.gif)
I would buy Spadges ones for the reasons you said Ginge - but facts are facts, and facts is I ain't got £100 + postage for a set of calipers
I just ain't, nothing else to it... As it is I still gotta get hold of a new pair of discs and a new pair of pads, thats easily another £100
