Whine coming from engine bay.
Got a whine from my engine bay, sounds very metallic.
Anyone know what it could be, almost sounds like a pump of some sort. Obviously its not something thats usually made that noise. its very loud.

wen i read u have whine from ya engne bay, i was gona say bottle it up and sell it to underage drinkers round the back of tesco to make some quick ŁŁŁ.............but then i read on

It does the same.
Got underneath, alternator belt/aux pulley(?) has snapped
. So battery isn't getting any charge.. Lovely.. more money 
The noise is the alternator rotor thingies moving with the vibration of the engine.
What happens now? new pulley and belt or just new belt?
