Norfolk ( + new car pic )
Fuck me its in the middle of nowhere
Went over there the other day to pick this motor up for Cally:
I really didnt realise quite how far it was to the east, took 17 hours for the return journey with the trailer (including going via cambridge to pick up an engine and box for a corsa engine converson im doing for a mate of mine)
Nice roads round there though (from a driving pleasure point of view, not a getting anywhere point of view ) and fantastic views/countryside, can see why Mike likes living there

Well not at the moment, as its got no inlet / exhaust / manifold / turbo /ecu
But yes it was a turbo 4*4 originally, and will be again soon.
Going to be a T3 plus a large dose of gas and then the Mrs is hoping to beat the current quickest quartermile time for a calibra turbo (she needs a 12.7 to manage it)
Seems pretty doable to me (depsite the 4wd system being a little "unusual")

The 4wd system is fwd until it notices a lack of traciton (wheelspin) at the front, then it sends power to the rear, but only upto a maximum of 90NM
Its sort of "fwd with a little drive to the back" basically
So it wont launch the way a pular does etc.

around 200 bhp standard.
The 4WD system is shit. A normal 4wd provides a decient amount of torque to all four wheels but with the vauxhall 4wd system this in not the case. They are very geared (so to speak) to provide most of the drive to the front wheels and only giving the back any sort of drive when the fronts start to spin.
*edit DOH, only 3 post too late. *

Im currently writing an article for Total Vauxhall magazine about a 569bhp one that does 11.4 second quarters and leaves the line with all 4 wheels spinning, thats on normal low profile road tyres too, on a set of decent tyres im expecting him to see 10s
So the sky is the limit really. but it we can see 400bhp+ on gas and a 12.5 we will be happy with it, the mrs mainly wants it as a road car.

Matt, yes same one, and he did have big plans for it.
He sold some bits off it and was intending to go bigger and better (turbo etc) and then decided he had thrown too much money at it and got out rather than throw even more

They have a lot more potential than people give them credit for.
Guy i chat to online a lot runs 11.4 quarters in his, and TBH given that was on normal road tyres, not anything vaguely sticky and in totally the wrong profile, he should have a 10 soon.
When you think how many cossies can beat that on here, it puts it into perspective what they can do, his is entirely home made and home mapped too.
