why is that then, the bumpers totally diff colour, surely its not had a paintjob already?
Front bumper may be injection moulded, like alot of mazda's etc.. paint takes differently to the plastic rather than the metal blah blah... i think anyway, don't hold me to it though.
i saw this one at nat day as well and shows what can be done by ford if they could be bothered. in the same pic in the background there is an orange st which had a factory sun roof and the same standard wheels but on 20 ins never seen either before.
Saw both the cars mentioned at Trax (i think) spoke to the owner of the white one and it was for sale at the time, was quite a well sorted car and quick too.

Yeah ure almost spot on.Cause manufacturers are using different types of 'hybrid' plastics they never seem to match atall!! Ive seen myself paint a car and never had the bumpers or spoilers look the same.We re-shelled an escort one time and once i painted it all the owner of the company came down and flipped sayin 'did u use diff paint for the bumpers!!' and i was like no its just the way ford are making the bumpers now.
thats bad then,if i bought a brand new car i would refuse to accept it till they sorted the colour match out
It honestly is a hard thing to do.You can paint and paint it and its still gonna look outa place its the manufacturers fault for using these new 'hybrid' plastic bumpers. At the end of the day there trying to make them stronger but lighter for our safety etc but at a cost.Worked with ford for years and always had this problem with the damn bumpers and surprisingly enough alot of manufacturers are the same just not as noticeable for some reason fookin fords eh
