parking question (legalities)
ok my missus uses my car for work for now and she parks in between two bays (works in a diy store) ,she parks there because she doesnt want MY car damaged ,
Her employers have said about where her and her colleagues park yet will not provide a staff car park nor be liable for damage incurred.
They have told my wife that it is not there car park (someone mentioned if its not there car park how can they tell them where or how to park)
so basically can they discipline her for parking like this
p.s if u got nothing constructive to say or abuse the fact she parks in between 2 space keep ur opinion to urself
thnks, Scott

if they are not able to provide a secure place to park and also state that they are not responsible AND then compund the matter by saying the car park doesn't even belong to them, she can park however she likes
HOWEVER
should the persons responsible for the car park be informed THEY can ask her to park correctly in the marked bays provided (provided there is signage to say this is the case)

They may not own it but might they lease the car park? If so they have a perfect right to insist that people parking there obey their rules. They want as many customers able to get in as possible, and that's why they paint the lines so the spaces are just a little too small.
No one is entitled to a parking space at work - just ask the nurses. How about her employers or the car park owners just tell her NOT to park there at all - problem solved?

If it is B&Q you are talking about I know quite a bit... she has to park in a designated space, not a disabled or mother and child space. Designated would indicate not 2 spaces... its in the handbook and is a disciplinary offence.
