Mondeo TDCI opinions?
Having a discussion with somebody (who also seem convinceds a CTR isn't a hot hatch but a Vectra VXR is ) who seems to think they reall aren't all that.
Does anybody have any stats for the car stock and Bluefinned (Tiff ) and figures for the ST220.

Has anyone got the figures for a Mondeo 2.2 ST TDCi with a Motorsport Developements Live re-map?
Thinking of going down that road rather than a stock Bluefin.
Cheers Guys.

410nm is 310lbft
Fairly unslow, but you wont be scalping proper performance cars in one.

Thats a great way to respond to someones 1st post Billy_RST
Thanks to everyone else who replied.
The ST TDCi is a great machine and I have covered 22k miles without any problems and lots of grin factor.
Its not a sports car its a Performance Diesel
It will give most spotty little oiks a good run for their money in their rusty Escorts and still return 46.5 mpg and happily sit at 100+ all day without a murmer.
Anyway I was looking at a live re-map but its 180 miles from where I live and just in case their is any snags with the tune its a long way to go back to get it sorted out. It also means that every 12500 miles I would need to remove the Evolution Chip from the ECU before it went into Fords for servicing/PCM upgrade.

looks like a Bluefin might be the answer unless I can find a re-map franchise in Surrey who could do the upgrade.

It's something I want to do to my van but am a bit concerned about implications to the warranty. I like the idea of removing the upgrade before sending the van in for any warranty repairs but i'd need to be able to do it myself.

mondeo's rule, i had a 2.0 tdci Zetec S which is now a 2.2 for some reason (like it when i got it not that im complaining) the only thing i would change is the turbo lag. performance diesel is the way to go

yeah im sure he is, his mate must have an LX or something, a typical repmobile, he should try the 2.2 with sport suspension, i know people that owned BMW's that rate the mondeo better for its handling.
