Default Audi fans........ question on 2.2 5 cyl turbo motors

right then,
just bought myself an Audi Quattro 2.2 5cylnder 10v (not 20v version) Turbo engine!

question i have is:
are there any UK specialists i can talk to with regards tuning these?
i know the 20v versions can be made wild but i only want 300 bhp as its probebly going into a mk2 escort or RWD converted mk3.

any help or tips or general advice you have is muchly appreciated as im a Ford man through and through,
only bought this engine purely for the sound it makes......... may seem silly to you lot but im sorry

regards (very happy!) Sean

Speak to either Grant Parker from AET Turbos as he runs one of these engines in a golf Mk 1 which is close to 1000bhp

He is a good mate of mine and lives down the road from me.

Otherwise speak to Keith at Dyalynx

http://www.dialynx.co.uk/

I wouldn't bother with anyone else if I were you

If your mounting it to a ford gearbox in line you will need a bell housing to suit.

There is a company in the Netherlands who has just started to make them but there £350 though

i`ve already seen ALL the audi clips on streetfire.net and all of the Dahlback racing ones, these are probebly the main reason i bought my engine

also Michelle Mouton has a lot to answer for

i will ring above mentioned companys, also theres a specialist with the name of Kim or Kym in the uk? you wouldnt have his details by any chance? I spoke to him a few years ago about my external wastegate setup on my cossie and he seemed a good bloke. (wastegate was off a 20v turbo)

cheers

heard MTM are 5pot wizards,
anyway, i tried talking to a lot of "tuners/specialists" over the past week and ALL of the people i spoke to ALL didnt want to know what i was doing or give me help with tuning ideas or general engine info!!!!!!!!
not going into names or companys but i was very very disapointed....

seemed like huge snobbery, didnt want to help since engine was going into a mk2 escort and not an Audi

Dont tell em that bit then!

www.s2forum.com might be worth a look, I know its car specific, but the S2 obviously came with the 2.2 20v turbo

funny enough my daily drive is a T plate A4 V6 2.5TDi Quattro Avant (estate) and i think its the best car i`ve ever driven!!

its the little touches you dont normally notice like in the morning, without pressing any buttons......... the door mirrors automaticly defrost when ambident temps are lower than 70degrees Farenheight (spelling! LOL!)
and cabin heater is blowing hot air within 200 seconds (according to handbook) from cold, I.E getting into vehicle from night before.
"Only with Audi`s Climate Control Managment"

Dont ya just love technology?!
i didnt even drive my car before i bought it,
wanted an Octavia VRS but this A4 came up at less cost and had more torque/ performance.

im gonna stop talking shyte now cos i`ve noticed what im doing
post again tomorow when im not off my chops

night night *kiss kiss*
