that's the kiddie! I to have seen and know of a few that have run without any probs but my m8's just put his car back together without one and after 500 miles of use there seems to be a rattling/clicking noise coming from the box unless you gently and I mean gently rest your foot on the pedal so we just believe that the fork is shaking/vibrating!
ps any idea what could be used as a replacement? I doubt Ford will have one!

Pretty sure I've seen people post on here before that they are no longer avail from Ford
Small bolt with a couple of nuts would prob do the job,use the nuts to lock the bolt in place(one inside bell housing,one outside of bell housing)
