Default How to bend some pipe?

Got little problem me want to bend some pipes think is steel or ali anyway i stood on 1 end strained so hard nearly browned my boxers needless to say didnt budge an inch. What tools do i need to make my life easier bending some pipes without kinking it?

Ideally you need a mandrel pipe bender which will bend the pipe without reducing the internal diameter. Very expensive though, so best off taking to someone who already has one.

Failing that a normal pipe bender but this will distort the tube as its bent eg powerflow or other custom exhaust place.

Pack it tightly with sand and get an acetaline torch and heat it up with one end clamped in a vice you should be able to bend it without distoriting. depends how thick it is though, you might have a problem if its a bit of scaffold tube.

i used to use a spring kit....heat.....and a vice. the spring goes inside and stops the pipe squashin then just pulls out. will need plenty of heat thow!

how do you stop the sand from pouring out?
Weld the ends up.

If you do try this use proper dried sand as normal sand contains moisture which when heated in a sealed tube will probably make it explode....

Only want too finish up the bathroom plumbing then finishings cannot afford paying for ready made bits then a plumber then a fitter me more broke than a pikey plan to make it look plush put it up for sale move somewhere cheaper like
