Default Oil Temp/Pressure gauge fitting.......

If you are interested in fitting Oil Temp/Pressure gauges and don't fancy having a sensor welded into the sump, then this is the answer!!

Wrong forum I know, but I thought it was pretty neat.

So how does that work fella?

You screw that on, then the oil filter on top of that?

Best place for oil temp sensor if you got a cooler is inline with that, as in at the block end.

I personall think the best place is in a proper boss in the sump, but that is major agro IMO, unless you have the sump off and can get a boss welded/brased in.

This is a hassle saving gadget. Not sure about clearance issues, we buy these in for Nissans, I just happened to notice that there are enough bits to make it compatible with the Ford's. I would say, for example, on a beantin, there would be enough room as long as you use the short oil filter (the correct one for the car), as opposed to the tall one.

Does look well made but, i use 2 t pieces in line which were like a quid each. The temp gauge then measures the temp of the pressurised oil going into the turbo.

Thats fine if you don't mind having a temp sensor in your sump nut. I tried that and personally thought it was a bit shite.

At least its another option eh? We sell plenty of these to the Nissan boys, so really makes no difference to us, just thought I would make you lot know that it can be done another way.

Also, if you are already running a sandwich plate, there is no reason why you can't use this one too.

As for clearance, it will need to be measured as I don't have a Cossie here to check.

Mate i think they are a great way of locating the sensor and much better than in the sump.

Unfortunatly on a ZVH engine theres only just enough room for a tiny filter
