How often do you talk to someone who knows about cars?
I work in a big place, I have about 5 work colleages who own modified cars, 1 subaru WRX, 1 supra TT, 1 astra with turbo converison and a load of glue on shit, and 2 evo owners. NONE of them have a fucking clue about what there cars can or cant do!!!!!!!!!!!!
supra lad blew it up not long after buying it, being an import I asked him if he'd had it checked out to see if its ok on our shit unleaded or whether someone had upped the boost, no he hadnt just driven it and driven it hard, everyday at that doing about 350 miles a week and an only car
paid about 3k all in to have it towed away and a 2nd hand engine fitted, no recon or owt just a straight swap 
He's listened to me now and bought a fiesta for the workhorse and has bought a decent FMIC , although when I asked him if he knew why he's bought one he said "yeah the engine runs cooler dunnit?"
Astra boy keeps asking me what boost he can run and why it runs like a bag of shit, even though he paid around 3k for the conversion from a tuner ( one who I told him was regarded as a bunch of cowboys with the vauxhall lot and still went ahead with it!) and just pours money into it when he could of spent the same on a decent 2nd hand skyline and modded it to a decent level
How often do you actually talk to someone who knows what they are on about? I give up sometimes cause when you try and advise them for the better they dont believe you or want to spend their money on other shit that is less important

and that sort of eejit is met in all walks of life so i wouldn't stress on itit's their money so let they blow it in any way shape form (or astra) they wish

everyday in australia.. all my mates own jap cars and they have no idea they just go fast in them, no matter whats wrong with them, they just buy them and drive them, on the other hand their are a few lads which are clued up about them

i do speak to peopl that know quite a bit,i work in an accessory store.but also there is a huge amount of pillocks that dont know shit about a car i have to speak to.

I try to avoid talking cars at work or in the pub as I always get some know-it-all moron who will swear black is white.
Cossie's are crap I raced an RS500, you know the one with 500bhp, in my *insert shit box name here* and left it for dead.

Not many unfortunately.
Got a mate at work whos into old Landrovers and works on his most weekends which is pretty interesting. A few other local guys who i see now and again too.
Other than that no-one else, my mates just don't understand what im on about half the time. If it ain't new, shiney, has 18's or got the right badge on the bonnet they're not interested

I rip the piss out of a bloke who's got a astra coupe 2.2, hairdressers car IMO, he always rips it back about only having an old jalopy, although he's been a bit quiet since the spoiler fell off when shutting the boot

i personally find that ford owners can have respect for other makes of car, if theyre good cars lol, yet vauxhall owners for example wil always say fords are shit etc etc.
i hate talkin about cars to girls, coz wen i say i have a escort rs turbo they never know what they are. they dont know how mint it is, or how u can beat subarus etc etc, its a g reg clapped out old escort to them at the end of the day lol

we talk alot at work about cars and my other 2 mates i work with r on the same level! we all have r dirrerent tastes but we respect one anothers. i have a s2 escort rs my friend mattie has a vw golf and mark a skyline gtt. we all go to the shows with each other and have a laugh altho marks isnt the gtr its still a quick car and hes spunked loads of money a abbey motorsport! but of all car he come up against hes shit scared of................
cosworths!! he knows how much people love them even tho thats not his thing and most people that love cosworths spend big money on them! we also have an idiot thats got and ashtray turbo and all he sees is whack the boost up and off we go and then talks cod shit about it all day long.. mind you theres a bloke at work whos got a focus rs and he knows loads about cars and stuff he loved it when i pulled up in my scort! chating to me about what im going to do and best places to buy bits from so there not all that bad but yes you do get the dreamers

over here of all the people i talk theyre either very knowledable and into fast cars or dont have a clue if cars ever come up in coversation and they say 'i,ve an 05' thats it, end of topic other than that a huge amount of young people know theyre stuff, girls included!
