the zetec turbo has been sold for £3500 at a big loss

i had to sell it becaquse it was fucking too powerful it was just silly and aquired 10 points pretty quickly in the space of a couple of months! and now the insurance will only let me drive a 106 diesel lol

i am now going joint ownership with my brother and turboing the vr6 with some of my RS cash by providing the management and turbo and mapping and when tested/running will go in to a mint mk2 gti shell

anyway my brother and me are going to turbo the vr6 he owns via 2mm alloy decomp plate for 8.5:1c/r from ferriday engeneering and there is a guy on the VW forums selling turbo manifolds for 270 quid with t3/t4 flange

its 200 horse already so we think that a bar ~17psi would see us ~400 bhp but our aim is 300+ bhp ish at 8-10 psi

so as topic what turbo would you recomend for a turbo vr6 2.8L ? i was thinking of a t34 with large .63? exhaust housing but a rollerbaring turbo would be nice! and hold a bar of boost reliably

and where is cheapest to inport a turbo as it seems the cheapest option thease days?

i thought this would be a good place to ask because you people know your turbo's!

Have a look at EIP tuning for some ideas. Its a common conversion and seems to make a fair bit of power

Thats some zetec turbo you had if it was over 400bhp!? if it wasnt then your building a car thats going to be even faster

im mainly helping out wuth the cash and labour and my brother will be the main owner/driver

the bodywork is a bit of a shed we bought it for the running gear mainly

so what turbo and where from ?
