Hi matey

first off, id be on the blower to TT if they rebuilt it...

Also, the print out you mentioned, NOT ONE turbo ive had balanced has come with a printout.
Possibly TT were giving people printouts, but got fed up of all the phone calls from people asking what it meant...

Anyways, it is hard to tell from the pic what it will be for 100%
I take it theres a gasket on oil feed pipe.

If TT are no help, i can strip and have a good old look if you want.

Edit....just looked more closely at the pic, on photoshop and it looks as though the core isnt sitting in the exhaust housing flush. Try really tightening the bolts.
Also, IMO, those tags are fooking useless, and should be half circle ones.

hi mate well the story goes, i put this turbo on a few weeks ago and it was pissing out oil from the housing, so i sent it to tt as it was from them, got a phone call saying there was no problems at all, so they told me to re-new the oil feed bolt and oil return so i have done this- it doesnt leak hardly at all now but still leaks. i will call them monday.

i may just try my old turbo unit back on as i believe i may of had a blocked oil return which was causing tiny amounts of blue smoke.i picked this turbo up for £30 with warranty left + see it running on the guys car before i took it.

as in printout i got last time a yellow slip stating what it had been through, spun up tp 100000 rpm etc.

if you took it apart, can you balance it back?

i've got this problem on my car. its a fiesta turbo engine but i've got a t3 fitted. oil seems to be leaking out of the compressor housing.

is the actual problem here the oil return fitment at the block getting blocked? if so whats the best way to sort it without tapping into the sump etc.

cheers chris
