Default Grrrrrrrr - Glass Polishing......

Is it possible to polish a scratch out of tempered glass?

We have a glass dining-table and being the absolutely fussy bastard that I am, I'm really strict about what goes on it. I don't allow anything on there that's not on a place-mat or similar.

However, somehow it has been scratched and quite badly too.

It is currently grating on me, like nails down a black-board, so I HAVE to sort it. Can it be done?

you can buy glass polish,

we use to do this on car windscreens after wiper arms had scratched the glass

There's a powder (no not cocaine)

It's called lapping powder & it's used to take out heavy scratch's out of glass.

I used to have some years ago but im not sure where you can get hold of any now.

Trying something called Jewellers Rouge. Do a search on Google for it. I have used it before for fine scratches and it's worked perfectly.

The glazing company I used to work for always used Jewellers Rouge to get scratches off glass, including laminated and toughened glass.
