COSTCO is it really that cheap???.......
I am in a position to have a card (ie got own business etc) but is it really that cheap in there?
I have heard that a friend got 4 michellin tyres for a Transit for around 100 quid.
Anyone else use them and are they really that cheap?

But what you said wasnt an opinion, it was a fact, jus an incorrect one
You told him nothing is cheap, which is bollocks, as theres some mega cheap stuff there, esp the low lift trolly jacks, tool chests, tools in general, etc etc.

I've never found it particularly cheap tbh, you get the odd bargain every now and then.
To make full use of the discounts available you really need to buy bumper bulk packs of everything, which if for a business then thats fine, it keeps costs down, but for your average Joe, who really wants a mahoosive bucket of beans?!
Always worth a mooch round every couple of months just to see what offers or new stock they've managed to get their hands on.

The stuff that tends to be cheaper are those you get in bulk (soft drinks, toilet rolls, batteries) or are meant for trade use (big slabs of cheese, cafe size butter, coffee, 5L tub of wonder wheels) etc...
Normal single items that you can get else where arent generally such a bargin (clothes, tools, furnature etc..) - you have to shop around first really!
A couple of weeks ago they were giving out these little booklets full of tokens that had special offers on different items each week. Some of the stuff in there has been really cheap!
Go down there and ask for a visitors pass, this allows you entrace for the day but you cant buy anything. Ideal to decide if you think its worth signing up.

Do u need to prove you are entitled to a proper card for a visitor one tho? ie the things they say u need to prove ur self employed business etc?

Costco does not sell cheap stuff - it sells top quality brands at well cheaper than retail on the high street - from engine oil, Levis, Michelin only tyres actually, to cream buns, if you want cheap stuff go somewhere else. The returns policy is worth quadruple the membership alone.
