The cossie actually came out today, it has smoked since owned (4 years) whats the most likely possibility? Worn valve stem seals or turbo oil seal, defo smells like oily smoke (whiteish bluey colour) does the usual cossie thing of smoking when backing off for a round about then accelerating again and when rev it when sat in the garage, C0 set at about 2% currently (its stage 1 tune many years ago)

Cheers

they DONT all smoke but dependant on mileage and what type of oil you use, maybe guides/seals or just down to piston rings worn!

Its done 112k oil is GTX 15/40 or sometimes 10/40 semi, think had top end rebuild but not sure when, had a power one conversion by Power Engineering in Feb 2000 which IIRC the sticker under the bonnet says was carried out at 95k miles.

lol did they do mapping in those days or were the chips more plug and go then! Must be oil seals, turbo must be a little tired now

IMO oil is too thin for a start.

id be going 60 or maybe 50, but not 40

nigh on every cossie ive seen running 40 smokes as its pissy thin oil.
