standard fuel reg is the best on a cossie.

If you seriously want to use an aftermarket product, then you MUST use a rising rate regulator - IE, it raises the fuel pressure in accordance with the boost pressure the reg sees

ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING WAY!!!!

FSE regs are shite. I have just thrown mine away for this bad-boy and the RST has never run so well. The Fuel pressure is ROCK solid. It's a Sard Type-RJ and costs close to £200.

That is probably one of the most expensive reg's available and you don't have to go that mad. I would say the Aeromotive or cheaper Sard reg's are well worth the money and all should have a port for a gauge.

Incidentally, you aren't really supposed to leave those fixed gauges in full-time, they are supposed to be purely there for setting up.

Also, the Power-Boost Valves are rising rate on a sliding scale, so the rate rises exponentially (more of an increase the higher the boost it see's).

You actually really only need 1:1 rate. I have an FSE 1:1 reg here that you can have for £20 if you want it.

ok so as the std one is adjustable then

can i buy a gauge to tell me what the pressure is and have a sensor welded into my rail

who can do the welding as the rail is only thin metal isnt

last time i had my cosy set up the reg was just turned a couple of times with no measurement and i know its a bad thing if you have too much or too little isnt it?

the car is only stage 3 with 044 pump,

but i have hgauges for virtually everything else to keep an eye on things so thought best get one for my fuel aswell

you can buy a in line gauge you will need to cut the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail and add the in line adaptor with the gauge attached to it. it also comes witha blank plug if you want to remove gauge
