How can I tell what h.p. (or p.s.) a specific 04 Transit is? I have the reg and V.I.N. anyone know?

 

post up or PM the vin or reg and i tell you

 

it usually says it under the door mirror iirc the first no the ps and second the max gross weight

 

It should tell you on the passenger door. Mine says 100 280. So it is a 100ps with 2800kg load.

as doo says. pop into ford with your reg and it will tell us on etis,ecat, microcat


or if we actually feel like doing work its on the inside of the chassis cab



but etis tells you everything apart from the name of the birds you done up the arse in the back,,,,,, ever since i got caught out with a fucking ranger i have that saved on my pc at work

they don´t all say it on the door.if it is a rear wheel drive medium or long wheel base it will be either a 90,100 or 125ps. if it is a front wheel drive(short wheelbase only)it will be a 75,85,100 or 125ps. as said above,if you pm doo he should be able to tell you,or ring your local ford dealer and they might do it. i could do it but am not back at work till next thursday.

we got new new shap 110hp ones at work,,,,,,, they still are underpowered tbh


martin remember that the injectors, pump ect all are coded to the one ecu


its not like on a normal car you can just do a swop, all the new fords have bundles of ecu's that all talk to each other

Ok, now I know it's a 100ps am now wondering what difference there is between that and my current 75ps engine? Are they the same basic unit with different turbo and or injection system? My van is a 260 and the donor is a 300 any differences in suspension other than uprated springs?
