.....whilst replacing the downpipe on my next door neighbours VW Sharan - 3 out of the 4 manifold -> downpipe studs sheared off...BOLLOCKS!!!!

So anyway no point sitting there stressing about it.....out comes the welder & I proceed to weld a nut onto one of the nuts...bearing in mind I'm lying on my back under the car doing all this.....

Anyway....after getting showered with hot welding rocks & a couple going down my jumper sleeves & through my jumper onto my stomach...I then whack a socket on it & give it a couple of tugs - only for me to find that it wasnt coming loose in fact it sheared off again.....then disappeared down the back of my jumper which I wouldnt of minded so much but it was still FUCKING RED HOT.......so as I'm wriggling round under the car trying to get the fucker out I smack my head on the subframe...

End result.....3 burns on my back, lump on my bonce & a stud that sheared off at the end of its thread - needless to say once I'd stopped hopping round the driveway in agony it got ground off & left in situ!!!!

That'll teach me for trying to do a good deed!!!!!

Sorry to laugh. But Sounds as bad as one of my DIY days.....

I drilled through my hand the other week.
Last week I fell through the shed roof.

i hate doing exhuasts for this reason alone!

textbook error trying to turn the nut while it was still hot though! shouldve quenched it with water first!
