Default External wastegate boost control...

...it has 2 ports....you normally just put a bosst bleed valve in the pressure side...BUT this will create a spike in boost that i dont want....can i put a bleed valve on the other port (negative one?) and control the spike?

Trying not to spend like 300 quid on a jap contoller

surely you arnt going to want to run max boost all day long....... a boost controller would enable you to cruise at low boost levels and save your engine some stress

You dont run full boost all day long, he will only hit full boost when gunning the shit out of it, and then surely he will want full boost?

Personally, unless your full boost was engine killingly high, i dont understand the point of having multiple boost levels

You will do when/if you ever get your Skyline on the road!

You may get to the end of the road on low boost with the Gearbox in one piece!

...any chance of answering the question instead of either retarded replies or posts telling me why i need another method of boost control?

...BTW beleive it or not you can turn the boost down quite easily with a bleed valve.

..i just want to get rid of the spike!

Chip it isnt a dodgy situation though as i said before anything important RING A PRO..not ask on a forum ...Your stalking is reaching a whole new level as i leave your actual dribble posts alone..yet you reply to ALL mine Still could be worse you could be fat and ugly...OPPS

If you want rid of the spike, mount it how you have now on the gate but put the bleed valve right next to the wastegate instead of on a long line into the car, the spike is caused by their being a delay while all the line up into the incar valve pressurises

You need to take a feed from somewhere else then, you will always get a spike if you have that volume of pipework before the pressure hits the wastegate.

You can´t use a bleedvalve, you must use a (don´t know what it is called in english) for example a valve that sits on aircompressors to adjust airpressure.
You take the actuatorhose and put an "Y" in it. One hose goes from there and directly onto the operating side of the wastegate, the other via the valve to the negative side as you called it.
This way you will get an 5psi increase in boost if you adjust the valve to 5psi and virtually no spike. With the valve set at 0psi you will get the spring default pressure.
