Default Tube chassis MK4 escort F.A.O Radders

Well guys and girls, I keep getting asked for a preview on radders/pennywise escort cosworth conversion and he's asked if I have pics to post so thought its about time I did

these pics are the the start and main structure of the tube chassis,

next is position the rear coil overs and fabricate the mounts so that the reat of the rear cage can be added, Then on to the front end for front strut mounts and the engine.

I have a MB (mitler bros) pipe bender, looking to invest in an ercolina bender later this year so I can do tight radius bends in house for headers/exhaust manifolds etc, The MB bender will always be my rollcage one though as it works great and I got every former from 3/4" up to 13/4"(44mm) so that covers MSA spec'd stuff.

Looks good.

Is that a BMW rear beam see in there?

Will you have any probs welding the two steel tubes onto the cast iron diff cover?

Is there going to be some more triangulation in there as the space frame develops?

Yes there will be alot more tube work, as I wrote at the top this is the start of the main chassis, theres no welding onto cast iron?? the diff bolts up into position, those tubes are welded to steel diff mount brackets.

see you friday radders! shame you cant see the pics

I would say a custom tube chassis is better built and stronger compared to the everyday chassis firms throw out the factory.
