Turbo side ALL complete for running up...inlet next
Picture:-
Heat will be your main Prob Phil as I think people are saying. I melted my ABS wiring so protect everything along the Chassis rail on Exhaust side. The Bulkhead Material will also get very hot, seen mine glow red, before I fitted correct material. Also took out 4 Alternators, which simply got hot & dropped volts. I fitted an Alternator Cooler from a Quattro & fitted a double drop bracket to take it away from the Turbo & that Alternator has now lasted a long time.
Fit up-rated mounts, my External waste gate hit the strut under full load & that looked totally impossible with ample clearance. Wrap your exhaust at least to the bend to keep heat out of the bay. You may think running a 600bhp car is a breeze, but getting it to perform reliabily to Spec is long & painfull, believe me I know.
...not home yet...should be ready for fire up later on though...just got to install chip/ecu tidy up any wires and set the vacuum block up from the swedish plenum with pipes ...Then tommorrow its fit new discs and the rainbird shims (subject to no disasters later )
