Default computer bofins- third gen comp language, help

i need to right a two page essay on third gen langauge,

so far ive got about two paragraphs,
ive discussed what it is and said about needing a translater to convert it to machine code,

but, im ot that expirienced and google isnt helping, i no that an advantage is that it is almost readable over first and second gen,

can any one offer any help, or discuss please,

Have you mentioned portability of code from one machine to another?

Because you have a compiler to translate to actual machine instructions it means that you can write something in a 3rd gen language once and then compile it to run on several different machines using the appropriate compiler for each?

was gong to,

isnt there two types of translator to, one which does th whole lots at once (which can result in un seen errors)
and one which deas it line by line so you can see if youve fucked up????


chip, how do you no every thing about every thing????
