Looking through the latest JP the other night and the main feature was the RCMS scooby.

Reading through the spec the CR was 9.5:1

Now is it me or is that bloody high for what the car is?

 

What fuel does it run on?

What sort of boost does it run?

How many RPM does it rev up to?

 

No idea mate haven't got the mag here either

 

If summat runs on race fuel, 9.5:1 is no big deal really.

You know that thing aint filling up down the local shell.

Maybe they explain the in the words, but you just cant see it as the idiots have accidently duplicated page 23 and 24 so the end is missing

Actually im just reading it, says 120octane fuel on page 22.

 

i saw that duplication Fair play tho can't get it 100% all the time

 

on 120 octane, 9.5 sounds good for about 3 bar!

 

Some of the time might be nice tho

What tuners say in public and what the reality is is often two very very different things anyhow, so cant be sure, but id guess 9.5 isnt far off the mark on 120octane, as chip said.
