which part does he not understand that the RS500 was only produced in a limited number? Compared to the thousands of saab's that roll off the production line every year IMO the RS500 is a very special pieace of engineering history. how many cars get banned from motorsport cos the competition simply cant keep up.......

You might like to remind him that the Saab 9000 is one of the four Type 4 cars - and if he asks what the other three quality cars are that were built on the same platform, he can rejoice in the glorious company that is the Alfa Romeo 164, Lancia Thema, and the Fiat Croma!!!!
To be entirely fair, the Thema 2.0 Turbo was as quick as a Cosworth from the showroom, and the 8.32 model (never badged as a Thema) had a real Ferarri V8, 32v engine so you can guess how quick that was (when it worked!) and, also in the interest of fairness, Saab did lead the way with the use of turbos on road cars.

Cant believe anyone would want to pay that sort of money when for less than half that you can have a 20 year old Saab 9000 tuned by Maptune or Abbott Racing that would literally wipe the board not only in a straight line but round any corners you wish. Also if something accidentally hits you, you dont have to throw it away because its bent. We had a tuned 9000 Aero with 300 bhp and nothing at all could catch that from 40 mph upwards. A friends M3 CSL was just a speck in the mirror after a moment or 2. We know someone who has a Cosworth and far preferred our Saab for real power and far superior handling.

Not trying to big myself up but at 18 i knew quite alot. i was doing full re- builds on rst engines with good power increases, done so many engine changes i have lost count ect.
i work for a rental company atm working in the workshops look after the fleet. there is no job that the top mechanic can do that i can't. oviosly he can do it a bit quicker. but even there poeple don't take me seriously because of my age
i was nothing like the nutcase your describing. im only 19 now and there is still shit loads i don't know.
i would say im well over aerage though. i think my age let me down because im am dieing to get into the perfomance indertry but people laugh me away because of my age.

and there is more
Oh dear. Looks like it never made 10k let alone your reserve. Goes by wot I said about its only worth what someone will pay for it no matter what its valued at. If it was written off insurance would only give you what its book price is. Perhaps you shouldnt have mentioned CAT D and new shell. That normally means angled impact and twisted body. Old sierra problem. By the way Abbotts Saab caned the Porsches and cossies at Snetterton and holds a record for the Nuerbergring.
Good luck on selling it youll need it

Just advise him that the RS500 was one of the most successful touring cars of all time, and that they had to change the rules to ban it from racing JUST so other manufacturers could get a look in. No Saab finished ANYWHERE worth mentioning while the RS500 was racing in the touring cars .
Please also tell him that Saabs have the drive to the wrong wheels and only girls / shopping cars have front wheel drive cars .

By the sounds of things he's trying his hardest to act like he knows what the fook he's talking about but clearly he's been brain washed from WHAT HIS DAD SAYS!! LOL
He says that 2 turbos are better as 1 big 1 will create lag but when any tuned car hits a certain limit (nearly everytime) its has to convert to a single turbo.
What i want to know is, where is he getting his figures from or do you think he is making this sh*t up as he is going along
Funny though fair play
