Petrol is octane rated so what is diesel rated ?

Just a curious question as i wondered if you can use additives in diesel like you do petrol

diesel is a little more complicated

its measured by £ x distance

what ever is cheepest is what most people use

diesel is measured by its cetain rating an sulphur content

Centane and sulphur content are a good indication of quality.

There are a few other important factors too - such as lubricity!
