Default Boot Problem

When I lock the car up on my ERst it locks both doors up but not the boot. I can hear the central locking for the doors and the locking for the boot yet when the car is locked if you just push the boot lock in, it opens up the boot yet the doors are still locked.

How can I fix this??

Cheers

I had this on my escort. Its the actual mechanism sticking. I could lube it up and it would be fine for a while, but then would go back to this problem. Try a scrappy(or you could buy a new set from Ford) or just delock the lot and fit the extra solenoid motor and switch.

sounds like the solenoid has packed up or if not that then the lock is stiff or jammed

Everything. Inside the lock on the tumblers (so you know its properly unlocked) and on the linkage inside the lid itself.

(Take the 6 or so plastic 90 degree screws out and drop the middle plastic trim down.)
