i would like to bet that a trader would pay no more than £5k on a very good day, in fact email them and ask, im sure tim will value you it, as he buys and sells at realistic prices, and doesnt get stuck with a load of shit after because its overpriced.

If its 500 its 500 end of reshell or not ! dont really matter the only diffrence in the shell to std 3 door is about half an inch cut from the battery tray to clear the 8 inj plenium ! .
The rest is the same nowt special ! .

North yorks had a 3dr 4x4 std non 500 spec last year and he wanted just under £4k for it, so i'd value this at £5k just for the added value of the 500 bits.
Pauls was on a Q though, so maybe this is worth a little bit more

So its HPI Clear right - So:
If for example Martin wrote:
Value this - RS500 Converted to 4x4 with engine upgrades - what would you say its worth now????????
Personally - I'd say £14-£16k simply as its a mint condition RS500 Shell and converted to 4x4 etc

what ever paper work you have etc the cars wrong,its never going to be 100%,who would pay £2,500 for the shell with id?and a 4x4 engine wont make £2,500 either,you can realistacally halve both them prices.

Its only worth what it is in parts or what someone is willing to splash out. I wouldnt give anymore than 3k for it as its not a proper sierra cossie let alone rs500 imo.
Look at that white 3 door made out of all original parts and was mint, it couldnt even fetch the same money as a 100k original rough round the edges car iirc

Thats what i would be willing to pay for it as i would be getting a cheap fun car, not a guesstimate value.
If i was going to spend 7k on a cossie i would be looking for a clean solid 3 door thats genuine but might need a little tidying.
Thats why i said 3k cause to be perfectly honest i dont like 4wd and certanly not a perfectly good rwd cossie converted to 4x4.
Someone might want a 4x4 car but prefere the look of the 3 door to an escort or saph so to them it would be a good buy for 7k.

its got no 500 value based on the fact its not original,,,,, its got 500 id BUT its less a 500 than a 3 door cossie with the bits on it are
with hearing this info i wouldnt pay more than 6k for it
if its on the hit list its worth 4k tbh a a car as whats the insurance value gonna be on a 500 with no 500 bits but the kit
also notice all these people who would pay 14k for it dont seem to buy 3 door sierras
if i took that car to you martin and said that storey what would you value my car at,,,, remember im just telling you and have no real proof,,,,, it could also be a ringer tbh ( not this car btw but a car i brought with that same storey)

6-7 grand aswell imo if you want it for a fun car, as for RS500 value its a reshell with only the 500 bumper & spoiler, did it have a 4x4 engine fitted aswell? Greys with a T3

the engine would piss £2500 no problem...
It has done 3500 miles since a full and proper rebuild, it has cosworth 7.2:1 pistons, all the bits that wear have been replaced, it's been balanced and has a ported head to 400hp spec... still think i'm miles out?
btw ... hows the box?

Sadly lacking from myself ever since i bought that nail of a Gartrac and then pranged it I was just thinking back to when i paid £10k for my 4x4 3 door and it wasn't as good a car as what Martin is describing hence me re-building the car at least one time over
