Special effects weren't bad, but quite amusing that an "unknown" Russian actor outstaged both Owen Wilson & Gene Hackman.

Its a good Demo film especially the part were he runs down the mine field with the explosians going off either side of him, it helps if you have a Servo 15 with 400 W RMS sub
