land cruiser is probably the best out of that lot.

Merc ML - nearest that was designed for off road was a gravel drive! Got one at work, needs a rear coil spring - £249 each

basically it would be used for collecting cars with my trailer and the family bus.
ive had a couple of n/p reg range rovers in the past both 2.5td but found them a bit underpowered and had niggly little elec gremlins.but they look awesome.fancied a petrol one with maybe a gas conv but been told they dont like being converted.
had a few shoguns, but the older ones k/l/m/n reg and have found them capable cars but just dont really like the later ones.although my mate has one and thats quie nice.
been a bit put off by the ml now (which was the one i quite fancied).

are these new l200 type vehicles any good?

never had a land cruiser.....

as it is i keep buying reasonably priced family buses to keep (if anyone knows me thats impossible!)like shoguns, bmw's etc for a couple of grand or so but always end up with "is that for sale mate" um,yes "sold".
so im thinking if i get something on finance then i would have to keep it-so i want to get the right one.

Deffo not Range Rover

I looked into one of these earlier this year and the comments seemed to be more along what wouldn't break and go wrong. It seems they are prone to just about everything failing and/or fucking up.

Looked at a few Shoguns and they seemed by far the best but I just didn't like the interiors on them. Felt very Japaneses (see mini cab).

range rovers are a fuckin pain arent they? but they look so good.

suppose its like having a stunning bird who looks great but is mentally unstable and a real pain in real life

my last rr had airbag light on,windows wouldnt close properly-stupid things that really should work-guess the 1999-2000 ones are still as crap then?

dads got a land cruiser, it handles sweet, its a comfortable ride, its got some poke, and pulls well. if you want more luxury, get the amazon with leather. they arent mega bad on diesel either, worse than a car but thats obvious!

his is a jap import, they come with a better spec, such as climate control and i believe that they are more powerful too. everyone who drive/drives in it says its one of the best 4x4's they have been in. my bros drove cayennes, rangies, mls, everithing, and he loves the cruiser. youve got to get an auto though, manual 4x4's are ghey.

a fella near me bought a 53 plate had it for a year and was in the garage for 6 months, all the work which had to be done on it cost more than the 4x4 was to buy new, suspension 3 times, ecu twice, brakes, gearbox.

I'd love a Range Rover, i think like the others here it just looks soo nice, but my head tells me they're rubbish as you hear soo many stories about them, i'll probably take the risk one day though as i like the look so much.

Deffo the land cruiser though, L200's are rubbish, they do the job but handle a bit like a boat and aren't that quick, a 4.2 crusier does actually go alright, although think there quoted about 25mpg.
