Gotta get my car taxed tommo, but just realised my MOT was up the other day assuming I wont get the car mot'd till say the 2nd september, and obviously the car wont get taxed till then. . will I get fined?

Yes unless you SORN the car temporarily and then retax it by filling the form in at the post office when you are ready.

I think you get a small period of time before they fine you? if it's taxed on the 2nd then I cant see a problem

Im also think this not 100% tho @ the end of the day it wont get to them untill monday if you send off the sorn so dont worry about it

cheers lads, Ive gotta get it mot'd.. will either get it done tommo or monday, then tax it monday. . got a couple of things I need to do for the mot. . just stupid things but gotta do em none the less, so gonna be monday before I get it If only i'd of looked at the mot last week

I have been told that as long it is taxed within a month of the tax running out then nothing will be done. If you go into october a fine will be issued

A few days shouldnt be that much of a problem, not sure how long they leave it till you get fined but i have left mine for a wk due to funds and never had any worries

scottbrown, Lou Lou., Thats good to know suppose im worrying over nothing really. . just the MOT bit that's annoying, better pass cos the tax has skint me enough
