offset question

offset question
anyone know if an et33 17*8 will fit nicely onto a 3 door??
Any advice apreciated .
Is it the bigger the offset the more the wheel fills the arch

not sure if they will fit but......the smaller the offset the further they fill...my wheels are et18.
more of the wheel sits outside the nuts/hub on smaller offset......
more of the wheel sits inside of the nuts/hub on a bigger number offset.

so less space behind the wheel (for Callipers ect ) on a larger offset

sort of yes, depends on the caliper.
the bigger the offset the more it will sit inside the arch maybe hitting the spring cups.

ah ok ,have been looking at som MO`s and the offset is 33 ,may have to slow down befor i buy em and find they dont allow bigger brakes

depends on how old the wheels are - I've got 6 pot 355 APs under the old 5 spoke 8x17 MOs with an ET40 offset

Same as Jon above , mine were ET 28 tho , had plenty of room .
