Default anyone ever had brake pad fall out of an ap caliper?

fuck me!a customer of mine has recently(last 2/3 months) had a set of 355 ap 6 pot brakes fitted (not by me!),and i have just been bringing the car back back from blackpool and the inner pad fell out on the way back.heard a clunk like something had come loose and fell off then a bigger one and no brakes!
shit myself.

got the car back and the pins must have vibrated out and the pad then went.surprised it hadnt done more damage really.anyone else experienced the pins coming loose on ap's or am i to presume the person who fitted them hasnt done them correctly.all items were brand new-discs/bells/calipers/brackets/fitting kit.

also who stocks ap pads/fitting kits localish to me?

Fooking hell, I would say it was down to who ever fitted the brakes, poor workmanship

glad i didnt fit them

surprised it didnt cause any more damage to the car or even get jammed somewhere and lock something up.just a very slight mark on inside of wheel-pad must have gone inwards as there was no way it would have come otwards as there isnt enough space.

just glad i wasnt driving really fast

Isnt it a good idea to put thread lock on the pins for this reason?

They are screw in pins, so for them to fall out, they couldn't have been done up very tight .
