M3/S3 OR CUPRA R??????
Help,
After a lot of changing about with cars, splitting up with the wife and real stress. I now need to get a car around 8/9K????
Here is my dilema...........
I have owned 2 x M3's and really loved them but never got to grips with Reral wheel drive, although i think i gave up to easily.
Had an S3 but it was not quick enough (although speed is not my main concern now)
Always liked the cupra r, just not sure of build quality?!?!?!?!
Help plz
Thanks
Nick

didn't realise you could get S3's so cheap,or Cupra's for that matter....to be honest i'd stick with an M3 at that money, then the Seat then the S3,only because you'll get more Seat for your money than you would Audi

If the s3 was not quick enough for you then the cupra aint gonna be any better.
If you dont like rwd id go for the s3
A 4x4 s4 is also within your budget ?

My brother brought an X plate Ibiza Cupra a couple of weeks ago and the build quality seems very good. I just can't get to grips with the throttle pedal and seem to stall the damn thing when I need to move it off the drive.

REPLICA
No, full on S4, remapped, konis, miltek exhaust, RS4 brakes.
Sold it as priorities changed, so have a 7 seater ML, but want a semi quick car for 8/9K

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Damn my slow typing!
What about something like a 4.2 A6 Quattro?
Everyone seems to question Seat & skoda build quality, i've found both makers to be as good as VW tbh, so that wouldn't worry me. What would worry me however is you thought the S3 was slow, as someone said above the cupra or another S3 isn't really a option
Have you thought about a 330 e46? i know it's rear wheel drive but if you leave the traction control on it should be alright?
Tell you what is a good car in that budget, a Lupo GTi. Don't laugh, they're seriously good fun!

I've had an E36 M3 in the past & would not hesitate to get another, for the money nothing can touch one for a performance car that u can use everyday, don't know about u but i found the M3 to be good on fuel for the performance, i have never had another rear wheel drive car with so much grip, even in the wet i found it good for rear wheel drive.

The S3 does seem the best option in the circumstances
